What will an immigration evaluation do for my case?
An immigration evaluation can provide valuable support for your case by documenting the emotional, psychological, and practical challenges you’ve faced. It helps tell your story in a way that highlights the unique impact of your circumstances, whether it’s the trauma you’ve endured, the hardships your family might experience if separated, or the toll of persecution you’ve fled.
A thorough evaluation provides your attorney with a detailed report that can bolster your case and provide essential context for decision-makers. It’s a way to ensure your voice and experiences are fully understood and represented.

A psychological immigration evaluation is a supportive process where we take time to explore your personal story and how your experiences have shaped you. We’ll talk about what you’ve been through, what life looks like for you now, and how it all connects to your immigration case. The goal is to understand your emotions, challenges, and strengths so we can put your experiences into words that help tell your story.
-
Often, trauma and psychological harm can leave no visible scars on a person, so being able to objectively and clearly paint a picture of the ‘invisible wounds’ you’ve experienced can be crucial to your application. Psychological evaluations are used to make visible, in plain language, the complexity of your experience.

This service is not a good fit if:
You need an evaluation specifically for a disability waiver (N-648).
You experience cognitive delays or are living with severe mental illness.
You are looking for therapy. This is a focused evaluation, not an ongoing therapeutic relationship.
